Event Description

Relive the glory days of cross country season or experience running on grass for the first time at the 2021 Fast Track Cross Country "Regionals" Race presented by Xtra Mile Running. 

Our race is free but we are limited to 100 participants in each of the two races. Vintage style, long sleeve, cotton teeshirts are available for $10. Additional donations are also welcome and will cover the costs for the event and support Fast Track Racing Team. 

The race will be run on the Macnider Cross Country Course at Hoover School in Schaumburg, 315 N Springingsguth. Race is just over 3 miles in distance; 3+ loops of the course. We will have a Varsity and a Junior Varsity race. We will not assign you a race division, but know that the Varsity race is designed to be for  runners pacing 22:00 or faster for the 3-mile distance, while the JV race is designed to be lmore inclusive to the majority of the field, which paces at 22:00 and above. Sign up early to be able to make your choice. 

There is a team competition! Type in your team name at registration. There will be mens and womens divisions for each race. Each team must have at least four males/females to participate in the team competition and all four runners will score. If your team has more than four runners, we will discuss putting together multiple teams with your team leaders beforehand. There are no mixed team divisions available. 

The Varsity race will begin at 10:00am and the JV race will begin at 10:45am. Check-in will be at the Xtra Mile tent starting at 9am. 

Limited parking will be available at Hoover School with additional street parking on Amherst Drive or Colwyn Drive. 

Spikes recommended but not required. If you are not planning to wear spikes, we recommend picking up a trail shoe at Xtra Mile.
