Event Description
The 2nd Annual Up & Down Bike Ride takes place on the Cascade Siskiyou Scenic Bikeway, the first designated in Southern OR. The Scenic Bikeway route is 49 miles and 4900 feet of climbing on beautiful, steep, windy low-traffic roads with views of the Cascades and the Bear Creek Valley. This ride is not for the faint-hearted! New this year, we have also added another route called The Burton Flat, which is 80 miles and nearly 6800 feet of climbing. Both rides are fully supported with rest stops, sags and BBQ lunch & a beer included. Visit Ashland for the weekend, Southern Oregon’s cultural jewel. Proceeds from the Up & Down will go to the Bear Creek Greenway, a 20-mile paved, multi-use trail, beloved by walkers and bike riders.
