This is the most challenging and scenic trail run in San Diego County. The chip-timed 10k course features 1600 feet of climbing along a single track, rocky grades, and rough terrain. The 5k features 900 feet of climbing.

This event happens at the incredibly scenic Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve. The area features views of Lake Hodges and the Olivenhain Reservoir, across North San Diego County, and as far as Catalina Island. A craft beer garden, food trucks, and a live band round out the experience. This is a non-profit, volunteer-run event with all proceeds going to open space conservation and environmental education programs of the Escondido Creek Conservancy.
