Event Description
Come join the fun for the 23RD Annual Santa Stroll 8K. The start/finish will be held at the Bishop Baptist Church, located at 1110 Old Bishop Road, Bishop, GA 30621. This is a record breaking USATF Certified course that is flat and fast.
5 individual age group WORLD RECORDS AND over 12 Georgia state records have been set on this course. Come set your personal 8K record before the end of the year!
USATF Certified: The 8K course is one of 3 USATF Certified courses in Georgia. There have been over 10 state records set on this course in the last 5 years and 5 Individual Age Group World Records. Break a world record, a state record, set a personal record USATF Certification #GA12139WC.
Event details and schedule
Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 7:30AM
8K starts at 8:30AM
Virtual Option: Run your 3.1 miles any day between Saturday December 12 and Saturday December18 at 12 noon. Submit your finish time using this link: http://tiny.cc/21SantaStroll8KTimes Finish times submitted after December 18 at 12 noon will not be included in the results. Virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards or t-shirts.
Black Bag Awards can be picked up before or after the race but special recognition to overall winners will be done after the 8K awards. BBRS awards WILL NOT BE MAILED.
Awards: Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, Grand Masters Male/Female. The now famous Santa Bobble Heads will be presented to the top (3) in age groups beginning with 10 and under through 75 and over.
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classiconestop.com, www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.athlinks.com
Series Affiliation: This will be the location of the 2021 Black Bag Race Series awards presentation! This will also be the 1st race of the 2022 Black Bag Race Series. The event is also part of the 2021 Clover Glove Series.
Shirts and Goodies: As in years past, the names of our running family who have crossed over the heavenly finish line in 2021 will be on the back of the shirt. You must register by 12/01/21 to receive a t-shirt. T-shirts will not be available after 12/01/21 including race day registrations.
Proceeds: Proceeds from the race will go toward the ministries of Bishop Baptist Church.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
