Event Description
Join Extra Mile fitness company for a series of Free Themed Fun Runs in November and December with the goal of completing the Winter Night Trail Run on January 8, 2022.* (Please note the Winter Night Trail Run has limited entries and if you intend to run the Half Marathon or 10K you must register early to guarantee your entry into the event. Registering for the Free Themed Fun Runs DOES NOT enter you into the Winter Night Trail Run.
Let's stay motivated during the holidays! Let's stay fit and healthy as we enjoy the holidays! Let's roll into 2022 ready to go!
This is not a training program but a fun, energetic, themed and organized group run to help you stay motivated during the holiday rush. We will have coaches and people to help guide you on the trails. We will have pick your distance (5 to 12 miles) on 3 different trails in the region. Each fun run will have a theme and each time you attend one of the runs your name will be entered into a drawing for a pair of ALTRA Trail Shoes, a Prime THERAGUN, Extra Mile Shirt and an Extra Mile Gift Card. Drawings for the door prizes will take place at the beginning of the run on Saturday, December 18th (must be present to win).
- Saturday, November 20th at 8:00 a.m. - Yost Elementary School (100 W Beam St, Porter, IN 46304) - dress up in your favorite Turkey attire
- Saturday, December 4th at 8:00 a.m. - Indiana Dunes State Park (1600 N 25 E, Chesterton, IN 46304) - dress up in your favorite Ugly Christmas Sweater
- Saturday, December 18th at 8:00 a.m. - Bailey/Chellburg Farm (709-747 N Mineral Springs Rd, Porter, IN 46304) - dress up in your favorite Santa Hat
Again these runs are intended to be fun, relaxed and a way to run on some amazing trails in the region. Extra Mile is solely offering a location to meet up and some motivation to keep moving during the holiday rush.
