Event Description

Please join us for our annual 5K and 1 Mile Prairie Moon Pumpkin Run! The 5K race begins and ends at Prairie Moon Waldorf School. Not up for a 5K? We have a 1 mile fun run just for you. Join us at the finish line for pumpkin painting, games and food. 

This year the race will be officially timed, but not yet certified. Course runs along the gravel road in front of school to the Mud Creek levee trail and back. Race is $37 per person 17+ and includes a t-shirt if registered by October 13th. Youth 16 years of age and younger $10 per person with option to buy a t-shirt for $15. Each 5k registration comes with a timed bib. The Fun Run also come with the ability to add a shirt for $20 each if registered by October 13th. 

In order to receive T-shirts, must register before October 13, 2023. All registration closes on Friday the 27th at noon. 

Packet pick-up will be at Fleet Feet at 839 Massachusetts St., Lawrence, KS 66044 the day before the event from 1-7 pm and the morning of the race from 8:30-9:15 am inside the school. 5k Race will start at 9:30am and kids friendly 1 mile fun run will follow at 10:15. The fun run is not timed. Feel free to leave post race or to join in the fun that follows as long as you want. There will be pumpkin painting, food trucks and other activities.

Prairie Moon Waldorf School is a non-profit Waldorf school with an early education program and 1st-8th grades serving the Lawrence community since 2001.
