Join us for our 2022 Fun Run!
Come run or walk on the beautiful Meridian Valley CC golf course on New Year's Day! The entire race is on the golf course cart paths, with no street crossings, so it is very safe for kids and dogs.
The 2k/5k course wanders up and down the hills and over the Soos Creek.
You will recieve a free t-shirt as well as free beverages and snacks at the conclusion of the race! (Cannot guarantee a t-shirt if you register after December 20.)
All proceeds go to the American Lake Veteran's Golf course in nearby Lakewood, WA. It is the only golf course in the USA that is designed to be fully accessible for disabled veterans. http://veterangolf.org/
Bring friends and family!! Open to the entire community not just members of MVCC.
Event details and schedule
Here are a few things to keep in mind on the day of the race:
- Meridian Valley Country Club is centrally located within the Meridian Valley neighborhood in Kent. You must enter through the gatehouse located off of 132nd street. Once you arrive at the gatehouse, let the gate attendant know that you will be attending the Fun Run and they will direct you to the Clubhouse. Once you arrive at the clubhouse, you may park in any open parking spaces.
- Make sure to visit the registration table, which opens at 9:00am, located near the clubhouse so that a volunteer can verify all your information. After you check in, feel free to enjoy some complimentary snacks and beverages as you wait for the race to begin at 10:00am!
- Dress accordingly for the weather. If you are bringing your dog, be sure to bring a bag to pick-up after them.
- Lastly, and most importantly, please don’t forget to bring cash or checks so that you can participate in the raffle or donation jar, where all proceeds directly go to American Lake Veterans Golf Course. Raffle squares are priced $10 each and will be sold throughout the duration of the event.
