Ernie Carrillo Scholarship

Many of us throughout our lives have lost loved one’s unexpectedly and quite honestly we do not know how to react. We all deal with the tragic situation in our own manner. The most important factor in all of our struggles is to never forget what our loved one’s meant to us and to always live for them. The “Ernie Carrillo Scholarship” is honoring a loved one of our own, Ernie Carrillo, and we would like to dedicate this scholarship to not only Ernie, but to all loved one’s that have gone to soon in our community.

Ernie Carrillo attended San Pedro High School, Los Angeles Harbor College, and California State Dominguez University. He played baseball at all three establishments and was a dedicated baseball fan of all levels. His love for the game of baseball was expressed through his big heart and big smile. Ernie was a loyal friend and fun loving family member. His friends and family would like to honor his legacy through this scholarship and hopefully we can contribute to the future success of an individual in our community.
