Event Description

Cuchara features distances of 50-Miles, 36-Mile, and our King & Queen of The Trench in gorgeous Spanish Peaks Country of Huerfano County Colorado. Join us during summer solstice weekend for the toughest 50-Mile and 60k on the HPRS calendar -or- race to the top of Trinchera Peak (13,570') and back to become King or Queen of The Trench -or- join us for an intro to trail running 5-Mile. This event features an amazing trail running adventure in a wilderness setting sandwiched between the eastern flank of The Southern Sangre De Cristo's Culebra Range, and west of prominent and magnificent Spanish Peaks, all just north of Colorado's border with New Mexico. This event features generous cut-offs to afford everyone ample opportunity to overcome the Adversity HPRS is known for, while enjoying the stunning views of this elevated area.
