Event Description

Join us on April 9th 2022 at Pinchot State Park Sunnyside Pavilion to walk, trot, or gallop in our "Run for the Horses" 5k Fun Run. The course will wind through the beautiful trails of Pinchot State Park. Proceeds from this race will benefit the Central Pennsylvania Horse Rescue (CPHR) located in Lewisberry, York County, PA. CPHR is celebrating its 5th year of rescuing and re-homing horses. In just five years, we have rescued 134 horses who would otherwise have gone to slaughter. The Race will begin at 9:00am. The first 100 registrants will receive a commemorative horse shoe. We will also have a variety of soups for runners at the completion of the race (Vegetarian options available). There will also be a special appearance by one of the rescued horses. The goal of this event is to raise funds for the horse's care and have fun.
