Event Description
It's never too chilly for the Chili Challenge 5K! Chili Challenge is a 5K that gives participants an added challenge of completing in the frigid elements of a Michigan winter! This unique course takes you through the City on paved paths through the scenic city park system along the Chippewa River.
Chili Challenge is a timed event and open to all participants ages 10 and up. Awards given to top finishers in their age/gender category (10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+).

Runners receive the following with registration:
- Custom Finisher Medal
- Long Sleeve Shirt
- Chili buffet at Mountain Town Station
- Complimentary Beverage
Starting Time:
Start time is 10:30am.
Parking:
City Hall - 320 W. Broadway St. Mt. Pleasant, MI or surrounding streets and parking lots.
Check-In:
EARLY CHECK IN - Friday, Feb. 11
- 12pm - 7pm at City Hall, located at 320 W. Broadway St., Mt. Pleasant, MI
- Beat the rush and pick up all your swag and timing chip. Afterwards, make a stop at Mountain Town Station for some good eats and signature brews.
EVENT DAY CHECK-IN - Saturday, Feb. 12 : Beginning at 9am at City Hall
Participants should check in no later than 30 minutes prior to event start.
Awards:
Awards given to top finishers in their age/gender category (10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+).
Post Race Party:
Runners are welcome to spend share their experiences and warm up with a chili buffet and drink within Mountain Town Station following the finish! Awards will be announced at around 11:30am at Mountain Town.
