Event Description

In November of 2020, the city of Saratoga in California opened a brand new cut of 5  miles. This section of trail now connects with neighboring land agencies to the "Skyline to the Sea" trail. In all, a 37 mile course to the Pacific Ocean via Quarry Park has been created. Given the fire of August 2020 in Big Basin State Park that destroyed all structures, business, and use of the trail systems, a complete 37 mile journey will not be possible until 2024 at the earliest. We are proud to present the "Saratoga to the Sea" Trail Half Marathon and 8K using Sanborn County Park and Quarry Park for staging of this event. Runners and hikers will start and finish at Sanborn County Park. After you finish, you will be served by Food Network Celebrity Chef Yaku Moton-Spruill. With over 3,000 feet of total elevation gain in the half marathon and over 2,000 of elevation gain in the 8K, you will be challenged and have plenty of time to finish. Time Limits are generous and so are we. This race is capped at 200 participants. We look forward to seeing you.

What you receive with your entry:

- Wood Handmade Finisher Medal by Elevation Culture.
- Technical Shirt by Green Layer
- Post Race Food & Beverage featuring Chef Yaku's Fresh Grill.
- Free Downloadable On Course Photos by  Professional Photographer.
