Event Description
The Gold Rush 2022 will be a 5k, 10k & Kids Sprint Event that will take place over Tyrone's Annual Tyrone Irish Heritage Celebration on March 19th, 2022! This event will be sponsored and supported by Tyrone's local businesses and will benefit Tyrone Golden Eagle Backpack Program.
The Golden Eagle Backpack Program is a community support program operating under Northern Blair Backpack Programs, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. With full support and collaboration from the Tyrone Area Elementary School, we are offering a weekend supply of nutritious food to children in need.
The Backpack Program is a nationwide program, part of the Feeding America network since 1995. It was designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as the weekends and holidays.

The start and finish line will be in front of Tyrone Armory.
Timeline of Events:
6:30 AM : Check in and day of registration will take place at Tyrone Armory

9:30 AM: Kids Sprint (50-100 Meter Dash)
10:00 AM: Awards and Closing Ceremony
Early Registration: Registrations may be mailed in or you may register on runsignup.com. Register by February 24th to guarantee long sleeve shirt.
Day of Race Registration: Race registration for the day of is only available from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM

Gold Rush 5K/10K Adults (18+):
- Early Registration: $25
- Day of Registration: $30
Gold Rush 5K/10K High School Students (18 years & younger):
- Early Registration: $15
- Day of Registration: $20
Gold Rush Kids Sprint Children 9 & Under:
- Early Registration with long sleeve shirt: $15
- Early Registration with no shirt: FREE
- Day of Registration: Free (No shirt)
*Registration includes a long sleeve shirt and race goodie bag: Youth S-L & Adult S - 2XL
COVID Measures: We continue to monitor all state health guidelines and will update our Facebook page with updates leading up to the day of the run. Post-race pre-packaged snacks wills be available to participants along with bottled water.

Cancellation Disclaimer: In the event of a cancellation of Gold Rush Race, all proceeds will be given to Tyrone Backpack Program.
Inclement Weather: We will be monitoring the forecast and in the event of inclement weather the race will be postponed to a later date provided by the Gold Rush committee. Any updates will be posted on the race website and on the Facebook event.
