Event Description

Mount Teneriffe lays just beyond the popular hiking area of Mount Si right above North Bend, Washington and is known for the Kamikaze Falls or now known as Mount Teneriffe Falls. Its summit sits at 4,585 feet and has been a training location for mountaineers for years. The Mount Teneriffe Vert Run will start in the City of North Bend at Torguson Park and gain access to the trails at the Little Si Trailhead. The out and back trail running course is an 18.5-mile roundtrip with 5,600 feet of vert through second and third growth forests of the Cascade Mountains Middle Fork River area and has amazing views from the summit.

For the top mountain race runners, they should have a completely runnable course while others will find it to be a real challenge just to speed hike up the Mount Teneriffe Trail. No matter your speed, be assured that the view at the Mount Teneriffe summit is well worth it as you look over the Middle Fork towards, Mailbox Peak, The Pulpit and the surrounding Middle Fork River area.
