Event Description

First annual In-Person & Virtual 5k Fundraiser in support of Single Parent Families Battling Cancer Foundation, Inc., giving everyone a reason to join our cause! The run will be small, limited and start/finish from the business we partner with while all social distancing best practices will take place. We will continue to monitor the CDC recommendations.

The Virtual Experience - Your registration cost includes a bib and t-shirt or you may choose our branded backpack in place of the t-shirt. You'll also be able to: Submit time and photo. Once received, you will receive a certificate of completion via email.

The In Person Experience - Your registration cost includes a bib and t-shirt or you may choose a branded backpack in place of the t-shirt. Snacks and water will be provided throughout the race. Be sure to have your picture taken at the finish line! We want to capture every experience! Pick up your swag!

Volunteers
This event would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support SPFBC Foundation. Over 100 volunteers are needed to put on our best 5K yet! Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.

Race Day Registration/Packet Pick Up
Volunteers will help with race day 5K registration and assisting pre-registered runners pick up their packets. Arrival time is 5:45 a.m. Time commitment is 3-4 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 16 years of age.
Operations
Volunteers will help with logistics and operations. Volunteer opportunities include: pre race day set-up, race day set-up, parking attendants, and race day clean-up. Time of arrival will vary upon the assignment you choose. Time commitment will also vary upon the assignment you choose, but will generally be 4-6 hours. These volunteer opportunities are best suited for adults, older teens and adult groups.
On Course Volunteer
Volunteers will help with to keep the course clear and safe. Volunteer opportunities include: course marshal and water stop volunteer/clean up. Time of arrival will vary upon the assignment you choose. Time commitment will also vary upon the assignment you choose, but will generally be 3-4 hours. Course marshal is best suited for adults, older teens and adult groups. Water stops can be fun for any age as long as any child volunteer has a parent or guardian supervising/volunteering at the same water stop.

Entry Fee On or before Sept 23rd st by 5:30 pm: $25.00 After Sept 23rd and the day of the race: $30.00
(On - site registration can be paid in cash/check
only.) T-shirt will be given to all pre-registered runners. Size preference will be given to pre-registered runners. Early pickup for race packets is May 7th from 8am - noon (location will be updated)

Medals given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
