Event Description

Join us in our 4.2 mile Tillman Honor run/walk on Los Alamitos Creek trail

Proceeds from the race benefit the Pat Tillman foundation. This organization invests in military veterans and their spouses through educational scholarships; building a diverse community of humble leaders committed to selfless service, intellectual growth, humble leadership, and impact.

Pat Tillman was a Northern California resident who attended Leland High School in San Jose.  He earned a scholarship to Arizona State University where he was a hard hitting linebacker taking his team to the Rose Bowl. He was drafted by the NFL Arizona Cardinals as a starting safety.  He was known for his leadership, intensity, intelligence and loyalty as a player and human being. After the attacks of 9/11 he decided to give up his sports career to enroll in the Army. Pat turned down a multi-million dollar NFL contract to do what he felt was the right thing to do.  In the Army he never drew attention to himself as an NFL star and went through the rigorous training to become part of the Army's elite 75th Ranger regiment.  During his tour with the Rangers in Afghanistan he lost his life at the age of 27.

There are 35 Tillman Honor runs held in 35 cities spanning Northern CA to Washington DC to honor Pat's legacy.  Honor runs are held throughout April and are volunteer staffed.

Race capacity will be limited so register now!

Racing bibs, shirts and the medals will be shipped to your home, register early to insure delivery before the run.
