Event Description
Join us for our 13 th event on Saturday, October 7 th . New this year, we will host a one-day event. We will
have our 13 th annual 5K, 2 nd annual 8-mile trail race, and our inaugural half marathon TRAIL RACE! Our
half marathon course is now a trail race that will connect to our 8-mile course. We received such great
feedback on our 8-mile trail run last year, we decided to expand on that and offer something spectacular
to our half-marathon runners. All three races offer the unique experience of running over the famed Royal
Gorge Bridge, America’s highest suspension bridge. These races will leave you breathless for more than
one reason. The views throughout the foothills surrounding the Bridge are stunning. Often, we see
runners forgetting about their best PR, stopping along the course and taking photos of the scenery
surrounding them. It is quite the experience. Moreover, this race event supports a special cause. All
proceeds from the event go to Starpoint, a local nonprofit organization that offers essential services to two
vulnerable populations, children and their families, and adults with cognitive and physical challenges.
Your registration includes free entrance into the historic Royal Gorge Bridge & Park (during race
weekend). Family members will receive a $10 discount. After the race, we want you to slow down,
relax, and fully take in unique views.
All registered runners will receive a 50% discount for the Royal Gorge Route Railroad (good for race
weekend only).
There is a FREE KIDS’ race. All kiddos running the free race will receive a special coupon for the Royal
Gorge Dinosaur Experience (good for one year).
The 5K is stroller friendly. All races are dog friendly, but only if your dog is friendly.

****PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR 10K ROUTE IS DISCONTINUED AND WILL BE RESERVED
AS AN ALTERNATE ROUTE IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT THERE IS INCLEMENT
WEATHER AND THE TRAILS ARE UNRUNNABLE. SHOULD THIS BE THE CASE, WE
WILL EXTEND THE ROUTE TO 8 MILES (DIRT ROAD) AND ALL 8-MILE REGISTRANTS
AND HALF-MARATHON TRAIL RUNNERS CAN RUN THIS ROUTE INSTEAD.
