Please join us for the Runner's Image Spring Training Program. We gear this 12-week program towards beginning and intermediate walkers and runners of all ages with the goal of having fun and getting you ready to complete a half marathon. The program begins Tuesday, February 7th and culminates on Saturday, April 29th which is the date of the programs goal race, the Gold Star Mission Run for the Fallen Half/5K/3K. Organized group workouts are twice a week, Tuesdays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 7am*. Participants will be divided into smaller groups by pace. All workouts during weeks 1-6 will be on paved surfaces in the downtown area, typically on the Rock River Recreation Path and surrounding streets. *(Starting week 7, Saturday workouts will begin at 6:30 am at Blackhawk Springs Forest Preserve and utilize the paths and trails of the preserves).
We will meet in Runner's Image, 219 E. State Street. At this point, mask wearing is optional, please do what is comfortable for you. We will be following the current health guidelines as provided by the CDC and local governing bodies. We hope to be able to complete the full 12 weeks in person, but if mandated we will halt in person training--there will be no refunds if this occurs.
