Event Description

Compete to be crowned king or queen of the trail!  The overall male and female duathlon winners will be able to claim the crown of king and queen of Buffalo Lake Trail.  The running trail and the mountain bike trail will be separate so both runners and mountain bikers will be able to safely give their all on this demanding course.

The Buffalo Lake Trailfest will have a 5k/20k/2.5k duathlon option, a 5k run-only option, and a 20k mountain bike-only option.  Buffalo Lake and the Buffalo Lake Nature Preserve is situated between the Elizabethtown hotel district right off Exit 94 of Interstate 65 and downtown Elizabethtown.  Both ends offer plentiful choices for post-race food, snacks, and activities.

Packet Pickup

Early Packet Pickup will be held at Running Soles located at 16 Public Square in Elizabethtown on Thursday, June 9th, and Friday, June 10th from 4pm to 6pm EDT. We will begin packet pickup at 7am EDT day of the race at Buffalo Lake.

Registration

Online registration will remain open until the 8am start time of the event. Registering on your phone is quick and easy. Cash registrations will also be taken on race day. 

Awards

Top Three Male & Female finishers will receive awards in the 20K Bike Event, 5K Run, and Duathlon. Age Category Awards will also be given out in five year age groups in the Duathlon Event.

Water Stops & Aid Station

We will offer a water/ hydration station on both the bike and running trail. Water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks will also be available at the start/finish line.
