Event Description

The Waupaca Area Triathlon begins at South Park with a 1/2 mile swim in wonderful Shadow Lake, and a 20 mile bike around the south side of the city into the beautiful rolling hills in rural Waupaca, and finish with a 3.1 mile fast, flat loop of the city. We also offer a Short Course with 1/4 mile swim, 12.5 mile bike and 2 mile run. Race is capped at 900 total bib #'s (500 Long Course & 400 Short Course).

Youth Short Course Relay Teams.

Kids Triathlon open to ages 4-10.  Age groups: 4-6, 7-8 9-10 and Age 9-10 SWIM category. The SWIM category will be a deep water swim out and back. All other age groups swim in chest deep water. See website for more details.

Event Refund / Cancellation Policy:

NO REFUNDS

The event could be delayed by severe weather (i.e. fog or lightening). The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department will advise the Board Chairman of weather that could delay or cancel the event for the safety of the participants, volunteers and local traffic. That decision would be announced on site over the loud speaker, on WDUX FM 92.7/800AM, the event announcer and through Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) operators to the people on the course.

The only reason the event would be delayed or cancelled is for your safety or civil emergency. There will be no refunds for cancellation of the event. Registration gift will be mailed.

The Waupaca Area Triathlon will make every effort to have a safe event. Thank you for your understanding of these policies and we appreciate your participation.

Saturday, August 20, 5:30 a.m. - 6:45 a.m.
You must sign a waiver at registration.

Swim Caps are required.

Wetsuits may be worn.
