Yá'át'ééh riders! Welcome to the inaugural Chil-Town Bike Classic!
REGISTRATION – Online registration is now open. The registration fee of $40 includes a t-shirt, course support, timing, post-race snack and awards to top finishers. Youth are free. On-site registration will take place prior to the event on race day. Any proceeds from registration or donations will benefit the work of the Dine’ Bike Project on the Navajo Nation.
FOOD & SUPPORT – Your registration includes aid station support on the course (including fluids and Honey Stinger gels), light medical and minor mechanical support. Everyone will enjoy post-race food, drinks and fresh fruit at the finish line. There will be course marshals and parks staff monitoring the race throughout.
ROUTE – The route will be created along the local dirt roads, creating a 12-15-mile route. Most of the route will be dirt surface, with some sandy sections. Please be aware of your surrounding and others on the route.
AWARDS – Overall and age-groups plaque awards will be presented to the overall top two riders, plus age-group winners in youth, master’s and senior age-group divisions.
WEATHER – Expect warm and possibly windy conditions. The 12:00 p.m. start will mean that you may see some warm spring temps but the temps may drop some later in the afternoon. Chances of wind are fairly high, though cloud cover or precipitation in March is fairly low. It is advisable to look ahead at the forecast a few days before the race.
The Chilchinbeto Bike Race is a joint project of the nonprofit organization NavajoYES and Chilchinbeto Chapter
