Event Description

The 2nd Annual Common Rush Trail Run at Harris Lake will be held on Saturday, July 22nd and offer 5 mile and 10 mile course options that will challenge competitors of all ability levels, from first time trail runners to elite athletes.   Participants will be treated to awesome courses that include a mixture of smooth and flowing dirt double-track, open field running, and beautiful lakeside single-track.  After finishing the race, athletes will enjoy post-race food, great music, a free kids race, and a fun awards ceremony with lots of giveaways.

This 680-acre park forms a peninsula on Harris Lake in New Hill, NC.  Harris Lake is owned and operated by Wake County and located in the southwest corner of the county.  This beautiful tract of land boasts gorgeous lake views, ponds, open fields, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and close to 20 miles of forested hiking and mountain biking trails.
