Event Description

Toast your fellow craft beer-lovin' runners to this 5K around Sleepy Eye Lake as we kick-off our town's summer festival at the park!

Participants will receive a unique finisher's medal, a commemorative beer glass, a sweet race shirt and (for those 21 and older) post-race helpings of our Crazy Aunt Kolsch -- a light, crisp, refreshing beer perfect for celebrating and/or embellishing your accomplishment. For those wishing to pass on the beer, enjoy a 1919 Root Beer!

After the 5K, cheer on the kids in the 1/4-mile 1919 Root Beer Run. Kids run participants will receive a 1919 finisher's medal and root beer floats after their run around Allison Park.

Early packet pick-up is Aug. 17-18 at The Pix Theater -- home to Sleepy Eye Brewing Co. and Sleepy Eye Coffee Co. -- at 121 Main St. W in downtown Sleepy Eye. Packet pick-up for other participants is allowed. The commemorative beer glass MUST be picked up at the brewery, either during the early packet pick-up period on Aug. 17-18, or following the race. No glassware is allowed in Allison Park. Adult participants 21+ should bring their ID to the race to show proof of legal drinking age. Strollers are welcome.

Food trucks will be setting up shortly after the race, so stick around for some excellent food!
