Event Description

10 years. It is hard to believe, hard to write and hard to accept that 10 years have passed since we lost Jarett. 

To honor Jarett this year, I changed our normal 6K to a 10K to honor 10 years. Don't worry, this isn't a race! We want to get our bodies moving, honor and remember Jarett. Say his name, say a fallen service members name, do something that makes you feel good, something that makes you smile. We want these 10K to be memorable and something you are proud of completing, Remember, you can complete the race however YOU feel good. If you are a racer, give it your all! If you like to take a hike through the woods, do that. If you enjoy bike riding through the park, roll with it. This should be a positive event, a way to thank Jarett for all of the joy he brought to our lives. Smile, just like he would be doing. 

The Jarett Yoder Memorial Fund hold an annual Virtual 6K to honor and remember the life of Jarett Yoder, an Apache Pilot who was killed in Afghanistan on April 9, 2013. Jarett loved the outdoors, so the idea is to get moving in anyway that is fit for you! Do so while remembering and honoring Jarett, and all of our fallen soldiers. All proceeds are donated to local non-profits. This year we will be supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County and TBD.
