PACKET PICK UP WILL BE SEPTEMBER 30 FROM 5-8 PM AT CENTRAL OK COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH, 909 E. ALAMEDA ST, NORMAN.  PACKETS MAY ALSO BE PICKED UP THE DAY OF THE EVENT AT RUBY GRANT PARK BEGINNING AT 8:00 A.M.

Join us Saturday, October 1st, at 9:00 for our inaugural 5K and 1 mile run/walk to raise funds to support Cleveland County Wellness Court by providing much needed resources and incentives for the program.  Cleveland County Wellness Court is a court program for people who have been diagnosed with a mental illness that are involved in the justice system and are charged with non-violent crimes. This program helps individuals receive treatment for their mental illness instead of being sentenced to jail or prison.  Some of the goals of Wellness Court are to teach participants to learn about their illness, the medications they are prescribed and how to manage their symptoms while remaining drug and alcohol free.  Participants learn to make good choices that keep them from future involvement in the justice system and help them become more productive members of society.
