Event Description

Run for your life & help us restore the roar with a quick fun-run before the annual spring awakening, Festival of the Angry Bear!  Join Ore Dock Brewing Company in conjunction with Queen City Running Company for our second annual Angry Bear 5K.  Get your boogie on and then stop by to enjoy a pint as we wake the bear from hibernation for Festival of the Angry Bear.  WATCH FOR BEARS! Costumes are not required, but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!

After the race, to kick off the festival, we will be hosting an awards ceremony in the Ore Dock's upstairs Community Space. Participants will each receive a 2023 Festival Cup, with category winners taking home the glory and hoisting the 2023 Limited Edition Angry Bear Tumbler to the heavens!  There will also be an extra special prize for the best costume so don't skimp on the fur!

Donations & a portion of proceeds from the race will go to Special Olympics of Michigan Area 36 (somi.org)

Registration will be open until the start of the race with a signup booth day-of at the Ore Dock, as well as pack and park located at Queen City Running Company.  This is an out-and-back race, so the race will start off in the Lower Harbor by Mattson Park and follow the bike path along Marquette's shoreline, down to Picnic Rocks and back. After, head back to the brewery to quench your well earned thirst during awards.
