Event Description

Welcome to the third annual Jogging For Jakey! Due to COVID-19, we have taken a few years off. Every year, in memory of Jacob Smotherman, we are able to donate to different programs which support children/young adults who experience not only physical disabilities, but cognitive disabilities as well. This year, we turn our focus to Little Victors League. This program provides a substantial and significant support system to families who have children with complex medical conditions, and it is locally based at C.S Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor. Supporting a child with complex needs is much more difficult than any parent or family can imagine. Little Victors League has a team that coordinates with families both in the hospital, and after discharge with support and resources for families that find themselves in these scary situations. Through Michigan Medicine's program, Little Victors League, lets make a difference for all of those families, in honor of Jakey.
