Event Description

FREE for Club Spinistry members! Here is the primary resource page for those wanting the route files and notes for Spinistry's Dallas to Austin back roads adventure route. This is not a group event. This signup is for information purposes only. We are providing participants with a suggested route to follow on their own schedules. We will have a formal group event which utilizes this route Spring of 2023.

The formal route is over 470 total miles starting at Mad Duck Cyclery in Grapevine, TX and ending at The Meteor Café in Austin. While the route does incorporate as much gravel as possible it does also utilize paved roads, bicycle paths, unpaved levee roads, etc. The entire route is on publicly accessible property/roads but there is no way to know current status of the route components. Riders are expected to have the capability to self navigate if route sections are closed or change for any reason.

Once registered participants will be able to access the route files and maps from the signup page. Registered participants are also welcome to add themselves to the Group Location Page supported by Spotwalla (Spotwalla account and live tracking capability required). Registered participants are also allowed to log an official time if desired. The signup site requires us to designate an event start/end date. We have plugged in 12/31/2022 for display purposes only. Riders are welcome to attempt the route at whatever time it fits their schedules.
