JDRF drives more funds to T1D research than any organization and has played a leading role in many T1D advances, including drug, device and cell research, in the last 49 years. The organization combines a unique mix of research and advocacy expertise, calling for affordable access to treatments and therapies while bringing together top researchers to tackle the most promising science and generate private and government investments. An international organization built on a grassroots model, JDRF is headquartered in New York with staff and volunteers across five international affiliates who fundraise and support research in more than 20 countries. JDRF developed the T1D Fund, the first mission-driven venture philanthropy fund focused solely on T1D, which runs as a separate entity. Visit jdrf.org to learn more and follow us @JDRF.

Healthcare costs an average of $9,000 per year for people living with type 1 diabetes? That’s 3 times higher than for people without the disease. Living with T1D isn’t easy, including financially, and that’s why JDRF is working every day to eliminate this disease and all the burdens that go along with it. By participating and donating to a JDRF Ride, you’re supporting research and advocacy efforts to help reduce the burden for everyone living with T1D, until there are cures.
