Event Description

Come join us for a 5K walk/run at IU to raise awareness for POTS. We will be taking a trip around the IU campus September 3rd at 1pm. The theme is turquoise (POTS awareness color.)  Tickets will be $5 each and we will have open donation for anyone wanting to help out but are unable to attend. For those of you that don’t know POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) is a medical condition that causes abnormal increase in heart rate when standing up or moving around that can result in passing out, extreme dizziness, blurred vision, nausea and more. For most cases it can take years to get an official diagnosis for POTS because it is often confused with anxiety or depression.
