Event Description
Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our 4th of July 5K timed by Beach Bum Timing Company.
The course is a scenic 3.1 miles around Babcock Ranch, starting and finishing in Founder's Square. The course map will be available very soon, we are just tweaking a few things, once we have it we will upload it.
There will be an in-person awards ceremony.
Packet pick-up will be available 24 hours before the race from Founder's Square; 42850 Crescent Loop, Babcock Ranch, FL 33982, as well as on race day.
Walk-in registrations are available the day of the race. Race day registration is 6:45 to 7:45 a.m., cash, check or credit card is accepted. Make check payment to Babcock Ranch.
There will be post-race food – (best COVID practices)

Cost:
5K; $25 until 06/20 - $30 until - 07/3 - $35 on race day
*The race will be chip-timed, so your individual time will not start until you cross the starting line.
Bathrooms and Water Stations will be located at the start and finish area
Food trucks will be in attendance too.

Free ample parking is available near the starting area.
Awards for In-Person Race.
Age group awards are based off-chip time.
There will be overall awards:
Actual Awards: 1st Place Overall Awards - Male & Female
1st Place, Male & Female Awards - Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, Veteran Grand Masters
In-person awards to the top three M/F in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.
Q: Is this a timed race?
A: Yes the 5K is chip-timed.
Q: What is the course surface like?
A: The course is a mixture of asphalt, hard-packed shell, and mulch.
Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?
A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. You must maintain proper social distancing and pick up after your pooch.
Q: Are strollers allowed on the course?
A: Yes
Q: Is the course good for spectators?
A: Yes
