Event Description

An annual virtual event with run and ruck divisions, serving as a jumping-off point for Crucible training (what better way to test your current fitness before your training cycle starts?) and support a local Mexican Wolf Conservation Non-Profit, the California Wolf Center.

"California Wolf Center is dedicated to the return of wild wolves to their natural habitat and to the people who share the landscape with them.

Through captive breeding, wild release, and public education, we work to ensure that wolves, livestock, and people can peacefully thrive in today's world.

The California Wolf Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and thanks to our incredible volunteers who help keep our costs down, over 90% of every dollar you donate goes directly toward supporting our mission."

If you're in the San Diego area, you can schedule an educational tour of their facility to learn more about Mexican Gray Wolves and their natural habitat (spoiler - Southern California and Mexico).

There are 5k, half marathon, and full marathon distance options for each division.

Run is unweighted, with the same GAP factor used in The Crucible to account for elevation change.

Ruck is 35lbs for women/55lbs for men. Same GAP factor used.

Runs and rucks must be uploaded to Strava, with a link placed in the submission text box
