Event Description

WHAT

North Carolina Blueberry Festival 5K Run

The NC Blueberry Festival 5K kicks of a full Saturday of events during the 20th Annual North Carolina Blueberry Festival featuring live music, craft vendors, a car and truck show, a pie-eating contest, and of course, lots of fresh blueberries. Runners experience the picturesque small-town charm of historic downtown Burgaw during the town's premier event of the year. The festival also hosts a non-competitive bicycle ride on Saturday morning - the Tour de Blueberry. There's nothing like finishing a brisk run or ride with some fresh, locally grown blueberries!

HOW YOUR REGISTRATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE
The NC Blueberry Festival 5K Run benefits PATH.

Pender Alliance for Total Health (PATH) provides access to an Integrated System of Care for Pender County youth, their families, teachers and staff. PATH works within the schools to promote wellness for all children and teens within the county.

With school-based Health Centers and an integrated care approach, children can be seen where they spend most of their time - at school. Patients get seen the same day and parents don’t have to leave work and try to get an appointment with a doctor. Students miss less school and parents often don’t miss any work!
