Event Description
The Marine Mess Volkslauf 10K mud run is an event conducted around Fort Leonard Wood in order to foster community relationships between the local area and the United States Marine Corps. The race contains multiple man-made obstacles, mud pits, and river crossings. It spans Demolition Road, up Volkslauf Firebreak, crosses the Big Piney River, goes up Ramsey Cemetery and continues in the vicinity of the Big Piney River until finishing at Happy Hollow Park. This race is a fun but challenging event while welcoming all of those who wish to participate and support the United States Marine Corps.
- You may register as an individual runner or as a team. If you are running with a team, you are encouraged to run together and help each other along the way. Your placement as a team is based on when your last team member crosses the finish line, so leave no man behind!
- There is a price bump for team registration on May 30th, so if you're signing a team up, do it early!
- The race will begin at 0800 sharp. Please be prepared rough terrain, water crossings, and mud!
