Event Description

The Goodlettsville Four Mile Classic is a community race with the goal of benefitting a charity on a USATF certified race course. This race will take place in Moss Wright Park on July 23rd, 2022. The planned start time of the race is 7:00am in order to avoid the primary heat of the day, while ensuring that the sun has risen enough for clear viewing of the course. An additional 1-kilometer fun run will be available as well. The start of this race is subject to change. The race will take part throughout the jogging path of the park as well as on the interior loop in order to reach the required 4 miles. Parking for the event will be at the Bowen-Campbell House, along the park road by the football fields, and at the visitor center. The parking by the playground will be reserved for event staff and volunteers and marked off with cones as necessary. After the race is completed, awards based on finishing place will be announced and awarded. If this becomes impossible due to COVID-19 restrictions, then awards will be mailed out to those who earned them. Additionally, race results will be posted online for viewing after the race is completed.  

Raising Money for all kinds of kids: The proceeds from the race will go to the building of Rachel's Garden which will be an inclusive playground where people of all abilities can play together. Rachel's Garden is project of the Goodlettsville Fire Department's Kids Christmas Fund, a non-profit organization.
