Event Description

Overview: Sweat Bar Fitness is holding our Summer run this year at Settlers Cabin Park on July 31st, 2022 for a 6.6 Mile Trail Run through the beautiful woods of Settlers. The race will follow the Red course loop with the starting line at the Gilbert Love pavilion and the finish line next to the Algonquin pavilion (these pavilions are the first two to the right and to the left as you come into the park). Family and friends can gather in the seating area and surrounding fields of Algonquin to cheer you on as you come out of the trail into the ~100ft stretch to the finish line. The Red loop has a difficult level of "Moderate" with approximately 917-1252ft of elevation. Almost 100% of the course will be in the woods and shaded and a water station will be set up around the half way mark of the run.

Timing Services & Finisher Medals: Miles of Smiles timing service will be timing the event. Top 3 Finisher Medals will be awarded for Men and Women.

T-Shirts: All participants whom register before June 24th will receive a Sweat Bar Fitness 6.6 Trail Run Shirt.

Event Day Activities: Both pavilions mentioned above have been rented by Sweat Bar Fitness and will be available for racers and their families. A food truck will be onsite and serving food (truck to be confirmed shortly). Sweat Bar is having their member/community event following the race and welcome all runners and family members to stay after and enjoy the day with us. Kids will have a great time playing in the fields and park areas. Alcohol is permitted in the park and you are welcome to bring your own beer.

Donations: Chad Shipley, owner of Sweat Bar Fitness, is on the Board of Trustees for The Bradley Center, which is a not for profit organization about 5 minutes from Settlers Cabin Park. The Bradley Center helps children and teens who experience trauma, mental illness, and behavioral challenges. To succeed, these children often need much more than just a second chance. They also need guidance, compassion, and help making good choices, so they can grow up to become their best selves. Chad gets to see first hand the impact that this organization has on children who desperately need their services. All donations made to this event will go to support the beautiful and amazing children of The Bradley Center.

Participant Cutoff: Due to parking restrictions, we have to cap this event at 100 participants so make sure to confirm your reservation!

Can't Wait To See You! This is going to be a beautiful and great race that we hope you can make. We look forward to seeing you there.
