MONTANA SPARTAN ULTRA, BEAST AND SPRINT, BIGFORK MT
Spartans, prepare for the glorious views, and rewarding climbs. This venue is located directly on the shores of Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi.
Take in a breath of Big Sky Country’s fresh air. This course is pristine and the trails are rugged. The arduous terrain (covering 12+ miles) and punishing obstacles will leave you breathless at the finish line. The views of Glacier National Park are not to be missed; and yes, you’ll just have to climb a hill, and crawl under barbed wire, then throw a spear, and of course, traverse across a cargo net, just to get there. But trust us, the reward for your hard work is more than worth it.

ARRIVAL: BE EARLY
Arrive an hour and a half before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your packet, drop your stuff at bag check, and get warmed up.
Ultra Registration opens at 5:00am.
Beast Registration opens at 6:30am.
Sprint Registration opens at 8:00am.

WHAT TO WEAR
We recommend dressing in performance gear (NOT COTTON). Think compression tights or shorts and breathable tops made from water wicking material. Wear comfortable shoes that you’ve trained in, but beware, they are going to get dirty.
In addition to your clothes, consider fuel when planning for race day.
For a Sprint distance you can normally get away with the water stations on course, but for our longer distances (Super, Beast, Ultra) we strongly suggest wearing a hydration pack and carrying energy gels or Clif bars.
