ABOUT THE ANNUAL HILLS ARE ALIVE RUN/WALK:

In-Person Race: Saturday August 5, 2023
Options: 5K Run or Walk, 10K Run
In-person runners/walkers will meet at the historic Ernie Howlett Park on Saturday, August 6! Check-in begins at 7 am and the race starts at 8 am. Runners/Walkers will be able to enjoy a scenic trail route which runs through our City’s bridle trails and ends back at the park. All registered participants receive an event t-shirt and custom medal. Winners for the in-person 5k and 10k events will receive trophies (first place only; women & men).

PACKET PICK-UP:
Packet pick-up for in-person runners will take place Friday, August 4th, at City Hall located at 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North in the Council Chambers from 8:00 am-4:30pm.

Virtual Race: Saturday, August 5 – August 7, 2023
With the virtual option, you can run or walk the 5k or 10k at any time and any way whether indoors on a treadmill or outside. The best part is, you get to choose the start and finish line and can take as much time as you’d like to complete the fun run/walk! Complete it in one day or divide it up among several days if you complete 5k or 10k distance by August 5th. All items for virtual participants will be mailed the week of August 8th directly to your homes so NO package pick up is required. Registered participants will receive an event t-shirt and race medal.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING VIRTUAL RESULTS:
Participants will track their own results/ based on the honor system and email your results to City staff at daniel@rollinghillsestatesca.gov by August 7. Results will be posted the week of August 8th, 2023, on our City’s Hills Are Alive page at hillsarealiverace.com
