Event Description

Kayla Hoven is the young mother to two beautiful children, Jaxon and Riley. She and her husband Chris have been married for 11 years. Kayla, only 34, has recently been diagnosed with a Grade 3 Astrocytoma brain tumor.  Chris and Kayla have chosen to receive care at M.D. Anderson in Houston. While this is one of the top hospitals in the country for the treatment of cancer, travel and expenses are very expensive. Chris has been able to stay with Kayla following her surgery but Kayla is looking at a very long road of physical and occupational therapy on top of her treatments.

Proceeds raised from this run will go directly to the Hoven family to take care of travel, hotel stays and to help make ends meet while Chris is taking time off work to be at Kayla’s side.
