Event Description

Can you beat an egg? Scramble over to Bothell Landing at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 10th and find out by joining us for the inaugural Northshore Water Polo Eggbeater 5K. This egg-citing event is presented by the Northshore Water Polo Booster Club and supports growth of the sport of Water Polo at Bothell, Inglemoor, North Creek and Woodinville High Schools.

What do eggs have to do with water polo? It's simple, eggbeater is the name of the fundamental kick players use to stay upright and stable in the water without getting eggs-hausted.  As a tribute, a few egg-straordinary yolks will be whisking it all by dressing up as eggs trying not to get beat out on the course.

Hatch a plan and sign up today for the Eggbeater 5K to support student athletes and get some egg-cercise!

This event benefits the high school water polo program in the Northshore School District. Proceeds and sponsorship dollars will fund pool rental for practices and games, quality coaching and officiating, regulation balls and caps for boys and girls, and the purchase of regulation water polo goals, and will offset player fees to make high school water polo accessible to all student athletes.

Our Egg-citing Events

Eggbeater 5K at Bothell Landing
The 5K will begin near the playground at Bothell Landing at approximately 9:00 a.m. The course is a flat, fast out-and-back run/walk departing Bothell Landing and heading over the bridge, down the ramp onto the Sammamish River Trail towards Woodinville. Runners should organize themselves by running pace. Remember your official time won't begin until you've reached the timing mats under the arch.

The Sammamish River Trail rolls along smoothly through a wide, scenic greenway that’s home to riverside parks and farms. The trail is the center link of the Seattle area’s locks-to-lakes corridor, which connects the Ballard Locks to Lakes Washington and Sammamish via the Burke-Gilman and East Lake Sammamish rail-trails.

Virtual 5K
The Virtual 5K allows you to pick your own course and run or walk 3.1 miles and then submit your time. This is a great option for those who want to social distance, but still have a goal to shoot for and get a great running shirt!  While this category is not eligible for the age group awards, your results will be merged in with the rest of the running field.
