Event Description

This is the 1st Annual Charity 4 CHARGE 2 Mile Run/Walk.

Our family knows CHARGE very well. Michael and all three of our children have CHARGE Syndrome. The Foundation provides much needed research, education, outreach and support. The Foundation is the largest organization dedicated solely to individuals with CHARGE, their families and the professional who serve them. Our family wants to help the Foundation continue to fund research, provide educational materials, host conferences, and so much more. This organization has a positive impact on our daily lives, and we want to do everything possible to give back. Please help us support the Foundation.

CHARGE syndrome is a recognizable genetic syndrome with known pattern of features. It is an extremely complex syndrome, involving extensive medical and physical difficulties that differ from child to child. CHARGE syndrome is correlated with genetic mutation to CHD7 and the prevalence of CHARGE syndrome is 1:10,000-1:15,000 live births. please visit http://www.chargesyndrome.org for more info

Event details and schedule

The Walk/Run will start at 8am. Please arrive at least 15 min. early. There will be raffles, live music and snacks at the end of the course. You will also receive a medal after getting to the finish line. Additional medals and shirts can be purchased at the event while supplies last.

Course participation is free for all under 12 yrs of age. Please note on registration.
