Event Description

Please join us and support Drishti Foundation’s 2022 5K or 1k run/walk. This race is for all ages and the participants can choose where they want to run/walk, based on their convenience and comfort. The run will be held at the Wilson Farm Park in Wayne PA on August 28. Runners at other locations who can't make it to Wayne PA can run virtually anywhere at their own convenience.  

Drishti is founded and run by High School and Middle School students who believe in Kathy Calvin's words, “Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference”. This foundation aims at instilling a sense of giving in children and adults alike. 

DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE

All proceeds from this Run/Walk will benefit various charitable causes that support the visually impaired. Ever since it was founded in 2020, Drishti has -

• Sponsored eye surgeries for less privileged
• Donated items such as toys, eyeglasses, and Braille books for the visually impaired
• Sent Oxygen Concentrators to Hospitals, to help with the shortage of Oxygen for patients during the Covid Pandemic
• Contributed towards sending basic necessities such as PPE’s medicines, food, etc., to people who were in need during the Pandemic

Donations from this run will be used for electronic equipment including laptops with appropriate accessories for the blind.
