Race Cancelled for 2022
Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a big fancy word for a brain stem tumor. This is an inoperable tumor that can easily go undetected. To help create the awareness, we are celebrating in conjunction with the Zombies for an 8k like no other!
Dress as your favorite zombie or just bring your brain to run this spooky run along the northwest Knox greenway starting and finishing at Northwest Middle School on Walpine Lane.
The festivities begin September 17th at 4pm for the One Mile Zombie RACE. This will be a one mile trial race to see what you got going up against the zombies! Then at 4:30pm the 8k will begin for a race along the roads and greenway system through Ball Camp and then Victor Ashe Park. The route information can be found HERE for the 8k and HERE for the 1 Mile time trial race.
No it's not Halloween, but being unaware of the signs and symptoms of DIPG can be scary! Join us for this Fall celebration of awareness and fun!
