Event Description

Fastscore Race Timing and Productions is proud to produce a 4th of July Freedom Run in Centennial Park.   Celebrate the 4th with an early morning 5K that starts at the top of Centennial Park Hill.  

We want to build flag monument on top of Centennial Park hill.  Start your race by planting a flag on top of the hill.  We'll be flying a drone around the top of the hill after the event to show the world that runners in Springfield care about Freedom and Liberty.  A portion of your registration fee goes to support the YMCA Stride Program (see donation page).

TIMED Race:  Your start times are staggered with every runner starting at a specific time on Monday morning between 7am and 8am.  Select your start time zone when you register.  Your finish will be chipped timed.  

You take off and run down the path on the hill and follow the trail through the park and into the wildlife area on the west side.  Finish on the south side of the hill and celebrate the 4th with breakfast food and drinks.  (see map below).

The 1.5 mile Fun Run/Walk follows the same route but stops at the end of the SVT Trail and Bunker Hill Road.

Your registration earns you a Freedom Run finisher t-shirt.
