Join us for a supported group run at Fleet Feet Montclair on Sunday, July 9, to help fight hunger in Essex County. Runners and walkers are encouraged to attend and cover any distance. Sign up now for just $10 or you can make a donation if you are unable to participate. All registrants will be entered in a raffle for a $50 gift card to Fleet Feet Montclair.

All of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the fund created for the 10 Days of 10Ks challenge being held between July 7 and 16 by the MEND Hunger Relief Network. MEND focuses on providing fresh and healthy food by supporting a network of over 20 food pantries located in Bloomfield, East Orange, Irvington, Maplewood, Montclair, Newark, Orange, South Orange, and West Orange. 

There will be two supported routes (5K and 10K) taking you from Fleet Feet Montclair to Edgemont and Anderson Parks where there will be aid stations set up with water and Gatorade. You can run the routes multiple times if you want to do a longer run or make up your own route. There will also be an aid station at Fleet Feet and refreshments will be available there after the run. We plan to keep the aid stations open until 10:00 am or until everyone has finished. 

Take advantage of this opportunity to complete a training run without having to worry about your hydration needs and with the support of some fellow runners while helping raise money for a very worthwhile cause. The event is being organized by the Essex Running Club but is open to anyone whether you're a walker or a runner looking for an easy / fun workout, in training for a fall marathon or somewhere in between.
