First Responders are there for us on our worst days. They are real-life super-heroes. We want to say thank you by coming together as a community to run/walk a 5k to raise money to help fund mental health programs for our first responders. We aim at bringing awareness to the importance of First Responder mental health and help bridge the gaps in funding for this emergency support. This is a FUN-FAMILY public event supporting two specific organizations - First Responders Health Foundation, Halo for Heroes, Long Beach Firefighters Union and the Long Beach Police Officers Association.

A FOUNDATION WITH A MISSION
THEY’RE HERE FOR US | WE’RE HERE FOR THEM
First Responder Health Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support to First Responders who experience job related mental and behavioral health issues. It is a national problem affecting one in three of our emergency personnel that includes law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, corrections officers, and other public safety professionals. Through education, treatment, and follow-on programs, we can help our First Responders return to their lives, work, and family with skills to handle the ongoing pressures and stresses inherent to their job.
