Event Description

Welcome to Hope's Legacy Equine Rescue's 5th Annual Hoofin' It for Horses 5k Trail Run and Walk! All proceeds from the race benefit the horses and donkeys we rescue during this year. This Trail Run brings you through the beautiful terrain of Castle Rock Farm, home to Hope's Legacy Equine Rescue. The course winds its way through the woods of Castle Rock Farm and around several pastures. Don't be surprised if the horses run along side as you walk or run past their place of residence!

This race welcomes participants of all fitness levels, from walkers to more experienced runners. All registration fees will directly benefit the horses and donkeys of Hope's Legacy, a 501(c)(3) charity that's been rescuing equines since 2008.

There are now two ways to Hoof It: virtually, at your convenience and your location; or join us at Castle Rock Farm on Race Day.

Following the trail run, Hope’s Legacy will be holding a public Open House from 10 AM - 2PM. Runners are welcome to stay on the property, meet and learn about our 4-legged friends, and take advantage of the food truck, vendors, and tack sale.

Please note, this trail run is on uneven terrain which makes strollers difficult to navigate.
Also, please leave your four legged companions at home; dogs can stress out and scare our horses.
