Event Description

Run the Fort is a race at Fort Macon in Atlantic Beach that supports a different nonprofit organization from around the Carteret County area each year. The entirety of our proceeds will go to this chosen charity and will hopefully benefit them in whatever they support.

This year, the organization we will be helping is the Broad Street Clinic. Broad Street is a non-profit that provides free healthcare services and medication to adult residents of Carteret County that do not have the resources to pay for it themselves.

$30 registration fee (includes Run the Fort hat)

$90 family package-includes participants and two hats

AWARDS/CATEGORIES
Custom awards by local artist Grace Bell will be given to the first three finishers.
GIVEAWAY
We will be giving the first 200 participants hats featuring Run the Fort's logo.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Fort Macon trail is a multi-terrain trail that overlooks the ocean and takes you through the one-of-a-kind environment of the Crystal Coast. The terrain includes sand, boardwalk and dirt with dunes and hills through maritime forests. Although this trail is somewhat challenging due to the changing terrain and hills, it makes it all the more rewarding when you cross the finish line.
