Join us anytime between August 26th-September 11th and complete a 5K.
Join the Western community for a fun, active opportunity to support the WWU Alumni Scholarship Fund, and win prizes!
You will have over 2 weeks, between August 26th-September 11th to complete 5 kilometres (3.1 miles), in any location and format you choose! Get started:
1. Register. You will receive a custom race bib to print out at home! Take a picture with your bib, and share to social media with the hashtag #2022WWUViking5K.
All registrants will receive an exclusive 2022 Viking 5K t-shirt!!
2. Invite friends to join you, share this invitation, within and beyond the Western community!
3. Complete your race. Submit your results by email or online, with or without a time included.
4. WIN! There are 2 opportunities to win a prize giveaway. Enter yourself in one or both! All participants who upload their results will be entered into a random drawing for a giveaway! All participants who post on social media and use the #2022WWUViking5K will also be entered into a random drawing for giveaway!
Help raise support for the Alumni Scholarship Fund. Invite others to support the Fund. 100% of every dollar raised through your registration fee and fundraising will go to the Alumni Scholarship Fund! For 25+ years, the WWU Alumni Association has provided more than $1.3 million in critical scholarship funds to deserving Western students. The WWU Alumni Association Scholarship supports students across campus, from incoming freshman to seniors who have financial need, and are making a difference in their communities.
