Event Description

About the Event and Racing Series:
This event features races for middle school, high school athletes. This 1.5 Mile to 5K Relay Challenge features opportunities for middle school and high school teams and individual adult athletes.  Participants will compete in a 1.5 Mile or 5K Relay with each athlete running 1.033 Miles split into 8 or 16 evenly measured individual relay legs per athlete.

About the Event: ​
1.5 Mile Relay Middle School Challenge 
Each middle school participant runs 8 x 110 yard intervals handing off to the next teammate after each 110 yard sprint.
Teams of 3
High School 5K Relay Challenge 
Each participant runs 16 intervals of just over 110 yards totaling 1.033 Miles each while receiving and handing off a baton to their teammate. 
Up to 5 teams per school
Adult 5K Relay Challenge
Teams of 3 in each age group (18 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 plus)
Each participant runs 16 Intervals totaling 1.033 Miles Each
Adult Participants who register as an individual will be grouped onto a relay with other single registrants.

Teams:

Teams will consist of three (3) runners on a team.​​

Schools may enter Team 1 (varsity), Team 2, Team 3 and Team 4 (all teams will run at the same time).

4:15 pm: Check In Begins

5:30 pm: Middle School Girls - 5K Relay

6:00 pm: Middle School Boys 5K Relay

6:30 pm: High School Girls - 5K Relay

7:00 pm: High School Boys - 5K Relay

7:30 pm: Adult Relay ( Learn More - Click Here)

8:00 pm: Course Closes

8:00 pm until 11:00 pm - Post Race Social in Old Town McKinney
